To go with the V8 power, G8 GT adds to the interior a leather-wrapped steering wheel and either black or red seat inaserts that coordinate with the color treatment of the guages, as well as the dual-zone electronic climate control, 230-watt sound system.

DRIVER FOCUS

G8 employs a full range of sports car cockpit attributes to provide the driver with effortless control to match the vehicle's relaxed-but-ready road demeanor. Brightly colored sport-style gauges are positioned in direct line of sight, and four-spoke steering wheel affords unobstructed viewing of the displays. Audio controls are conveniently positioned on the steering wheel.

A sport-styled shift lever is perfectly positioned for on-th-fly engagement of the performance functions of G8's 5- and 6-speed automatic transmissions. Racing-inspired sport metallic foot pedals are a part of the available Sport Package on G8 GT.

PERFORMANCE FROM THE GROUND UP

Given the opportunity to create an all-new rear-wheel-drive performance vehicle, we decided to open things up. We moved the wheels out to the corners for a wide, athletic stance. We positioned the engine and tranny low and to the rear, creating a low center of gravity and near 50/50 balance, front to rear. The G8's distinguished by powerful, responsive all-aluminum engines. Using the latest developments in advanced steel and manufacturing, we surround the engine and the vehicle's occupants with a rigid structure designed to deliver world-class levels of strength and refinement along with crisp driving dynamics.
